Mission and Vision Statement and Core Values

 

Congregation Melech Yisrael (CMY) is part of the whole Body of Messiah, the habitation of G-d through the Spirit, with divine furnishings for proclaiming, prioritizing, and personifying the message of the Kingdom and the mission of raising up disciples to our Master, Rabbi Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, G-d’s Divine Son. Congregation Melech Yisrael is also part of the Messianic Jewish Movement which imitates the faith and practice of the earliest Community of Yeshua’s disciples, in which  Jews and Gentile G-d fearers worshipped the G-d of Israel together within a historical cultural and theological Jewish context. Each believer among us, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the “whole Body” who are written in heaven and demonstrating on earth, the fruit, gifts, workings, and manifestations of the Holy Spirit according to our distinctive testimony. Through the Message of the original saved remnant of Israel, the Jewish people can be regrafted, by grace, into “their own olive tree” and those from the Nations can also be attached by grace to the Master Yeshua and to the remnant “according to G-d’s gracious choice”. We abide as Notzrim/branches in the true vine, Yeshua of Nazareth/Branchtown. We work the Mission, embrace the Vision and live out the Core values of CMY. G-d’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which is lost, to be authentically worshipped by all humanity, and to build a whole Body of members in the image of His Son. The priority reason-for-being of Congregation Melech Yisrael as part of that whole Body, being unified, Jews as redeemed Jews and Gentiles as redeemed Gentiles – is for us:

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a loving Community of disciples of Rabbi Yeshua, Our Master, who seek to live out a Messianic form of Judaism while remaining in our respective callings as Jews or Gentiles in unwavering allegiance to the Jewish  Man, Yeshua of Nazareth, the promised Divine Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world. 

VISION STATEMENT


To see and experience the Messianic Kingdom inbreaking and permeating our world, and G-d’s will being done, on earth as in heaven, in the consummation of all things and in the present circumstances of our lives. Therefore:

EXPANDED PROPHETIC VISION STATEMENT

  1. We desire that the entire world will recognize our Master Yeshua, The Father’s Son, as the promised Divine Messiah, sent for Israel and from Israel to the Nations, as the only completely righteous One and the only hope for complete redemption and atonement.

  2. We desire to see Jewish people serve in their role as the chosen, holy nation, Kingdom of priests, treasured possession, apple of G-d’s eye and light to the nations (whether they want to or not) and thereby testify to the existence and faithfulness of the One, true, living G-d and the truth of the Scriptures.

  3. We long to see all the nations resort to the King of the Jews, the Melech Yisrael, and submit to Him and His Torah as it pertains to them, going forth from Jerusalem, the eternal capital city of the great King. We are Kingdom/Messianic Era Zionists.

  4. We work to see Antisemitism, Anti-Israelism, Supersessionism and Replacement/Displacement Theology, Dispensationalism,  One Law, Sacred Name, Alternative Calendars, Two House, Black Hebrew Israelites and other errant theologies/heresies be dismantled such that every plant, not planted by the heavenly Father will be uprooted and every created thing shaken.

  5. We wish to conduct our worship services in a manner in which Yeshua unbelieving Jews and Gentiles and Yeshua believing Jews and Gentiles who attend these services, will feel at home and experience the love, fear, knowledge, peace, joy and grace of our Master and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah. We wish each worshipper will encounter the living G-d and be informed and transformed by the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit and experience intimacy with Abba, our Father. We encourage each believer to proudly remain in their legal, distinct and ethnic calling as a Jew or Gentile without being disingenuous.

  6. We desire to instruct and edify, by the Spirit, our Community of Yeshua disciples, in the Word of G-d and in the Jewish roots of Messiah like faith. We endeavor to accomplish this through the studying, practicing, and teaching of all Scripture and Word validating Jewish traditions and relating them to the cultural and historical context of the Renewed Covenant. We administer Zichron Mashiach (Messiah’s Remembrance), Messianic Immersions, Weddings, Funerals and other Jewish life cycle rituals eg. Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Ben/Bat Noach.

  7. We look to adequately equip every believer for every good work and to foster the spiritual growth of disciples, by the Spirit, who have already accepted Messiah Yeshua into their Lives, and have joined with our Congregation and actively participate in our mission, vision and core values by their faithfulness working through love.

  8. We propose to train and raise up disciples who will continue to make disciples after our Rabbi and Master Yeshua to proclaim, prioritize and personify His Israel restored and Kingdom-centric message. We aim to reconcile His disciples with G-d’s prophetic promises to Israel first and extending mercy through discipling redeemed Gentiles into the living hope of Israel.

  9. We desire to see the knowledge, covenantal devotion, of the glory of the L-RD leaven the earth.

  10. We seek to provide age, and category appropriate ministries to all our members, (children, youths and adults), prospects and attendees who, of like precious faith by the righteousness of G-d and Savior Yeshua, demonstrate by a good standing and willing mind, active participation to excel still more in all areas of growth. We expect to nurture Chavurot (Fellowship) networks e.g.(Torah Club small groups).

  11. In not being disobedient to the heavenly vision, we assume our share of responsibility and the privilege of making Hashem’s presence, character and reputation known among the Nations. We do this by propagating truth and repentance for the forgiveness of sins, eternal salvation, the gospel of His Kingdom, the grace of G-d, by all available means, to all peoples, i.e. the Jewish people and those from the Nations, both at home in Canada and in foreign lands. We serve Messianic Judaism to all nations. We desire to plant new Messianic congregations and partner with existing ones as led by the Spirit.

  12. We want to experience a foretaste of the Messianic Era on earth – the bread of tomorrow today and the World to come NOW, even as righteousness, peace (within and among us), joy, spiritual and material blessings, healing (of soul and body), good health, demonic freedom and good success (doing G-d’s will) pervade our lives always and in all ways. We yearn for our Master to return-Maranatha (our L-rd, come!) - yet we experience His healing, comforting and empowering presence even NOW!

CORE VALUES

  • We ever obey, by faith, the present, continuous, plural imperative of “be being filled” again and again with the Holy Spirit!!

  • We maintain high personal standards of holy living while excelling still more, without being judgmental of others. 

  • We prioritize and personify the weightier matters of the Torah without neglecting the rest, seeking to treat others as we want others to treat us.

  • We shun derogatory, hurtful, and unfruitful speech.

  • We commit to daily reading and study of all Scripture, daily prayer, daily giving, daily encouraging, weekly fasting, and weekly early attendance to Community gatherings, in person and online.

  • We agree to prayerfully, financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally support our Community of Yeshua disciples.

  • We seek to embody and extend grace, be in peace, love well, and teach truth to all peoples and especially to our faith Community
